Dr. M.B. Jessie Raj

Dr. M.B. Jessie Raj is an Associate Professor of Physics at Bishop Heber College, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India, where she supervises postgraduate and doctoral candidates in the Materials Physics Laboratory. Her research expertise lies in nanoscience, photocatalysis, nonlinear optical materials, wastewater treatment, and sustainable environmental remediation. With the ever-increasing demand for clean energy and safe water resources, photocatalysis has emerged as one of the most significant interdisciplinary research domains. Her research focuses
on the development of nanostructured photocatalysts with superior degradation efficiency for wastewater purification, aquatic bacterial disinfection, and sustainable environmental applications. Her interdisciplinary research also extends
to eco-toxicology studies involving flora and primary aquatic microfauna. In addition, she is actively engaged in the development of nanostructured drug materials with antifungal, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic, and anticancerous properties.
